Job Brief:We are looking for an experienced Lift Mechanic/Technician for Old Mate Elevators in Caringbah, Sydney NSW 2229.Are you an experienced Lift Mechanic/Technician and looking for the opportunity to work with us in Sydney?We are looking to expand our Sydney team with permanent positions for experienced Lift Installers & technicians for the installation of hydraulic, traction and screw-type lifts in residential and commercial environments. You will need experience in lift installation, fault finding, preventative maintenance and repairing equipment whilst adhering to the safety measures and Company’s standards.Old Mate Elevators (OME) is an established company in Sydney that has been in operation for more than 25 years. You will be working with a team that has over 60 years of combined experience and knowledge that you will be able to leverage information and learn from.
Responsibilities:- Work with the installation team to install our lifts
- Troubleshoot and diagnose lift faults and breakdowns
- Prepare detailed reports with itemised labour and parts needed for repair and for ongoing preventative maintenance
- Carry out all activities in accordance with OME policies and procedures whilst having a sound understanding of quality and safety standards
- Must be able to read diagrams, reports, plans, and designs
- Installing, repairing, troubleshooting, adjusting and testing electrical and mechanical parts of the lift
- Using electrical test instruments, switchboards, to trace and diagnose lift problems
- Must have at least 5-year experience and have an understanding/knowledge of stock control to ensure required spare parts and tools are always available.
Skills Required:- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the lift industry and in diagnosing electronics, mechanical, complex electrical systems
- Commitment to working safely with a strong customer focus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Should have strong understanding, knowledge, or working experience with mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
- Must have the ability to provide technical support as well as aftersales service to retain and provide the best customer satisfaction
- Strong communication skills across various levels within the Company, its team members and clients and customers
- Highly motivated with the ability to be flexible with regard to start/finish times and after-hours work
- Strive to be the best and work optimally to ensure the lift works well per OME policies and standards.
- In lieu of the required Certificate and 2-years of on—the—job training or any other relevant educational qualification, at least three-five years (3-5) of relevant experience may substitute for this.
Salary: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
