About the role
The Clinical Psychology Graduate is positioned within the Allied Health Graduate Program (AHGP). The position is supported by a more experienced Psychologist with a focus on regular supervision, reflective practice, professional development, and self-care. The clinical psychology graduate is embedded within a multidisciplinary team, working alongside experienced psychologists, while delivering evidence-based assessments and recovery orientated interventions. Graduates will complete six-month rotations within different multidisciplinary teams.
Position overview
- Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight), Fixed Term position (until 31 December 2025)
- ADO entitlement monthly
- Warrnambool Campus
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
What you bring
The successful applicant will have registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have a masters or doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APAC accredited course.
The incumbent will have the ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding off contemporary evidence-based best practice in mental health assessment, treatment, and care with the ability to be able to reference relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including the Mental Health Act 2014 and its amendments.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families and professional colleagues and other health care providers is a must.
