Independent Member of our
Clinical Quality and Consumer Experience Committee which is a committee to the LHG Board. The committee assists the board by providing objective non-executive oversight of LHG’s Clinical Governance Framework by:
- Analysing and reviewing LHG’s approach and management of service delivery of quality care, clinical risk, and continuous improvement.
- Reviewing and monitoring of LHG’s National Quality Indicator Program, including consumer engagement and accreditation status for all areas of service delivery, as required as an Approved Provider of Aged Care Services.
- Monitoring and reviewing incident management for consumers and staff, reviewing outcomes and opportunities for areas of improvement.
- Supporting development of workforce strategy including retention, development, and succession planning.
- Supporting LHG pastoral care services.
This committee meets approximately 4 to 5 times a year outside of business hours. Independent members play a crucial role in governance, and therefore, these positions are paid on a per meeting basis. Personal capabilitiesThe successful candidate for this position will have:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in healthcare, particularly in aged care, to understand and evaluate clinical practices and risks.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and accreditation processes relevant to aged care services.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and best practices to provide effective oversight and strategic guidance.
- Dedication to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery and clinical care.
