- The WSLHD Clinical Quality Systems Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective operational planning, management and delivery of programs and systems to support accreditation, audit, quality and patient safety, to meet the Accreditation standards and other legislative and policy requirements.
- The WSLHD Clinical Quality Systems Officer is responsible for the maintenance and optimal utilisation of the Quality Audit Reporting System (QARS) and Quality Improvement Data System (QIDS). The Clinical Quality Systems Officer provides timely, high-level strategic support to key staff across the district.
- To enable continual review and improvement of Clinical Quality Systems and patient safety, and to ensure ongoing performance of the health service in patient safety and Clinical Quality. Provide high level advice and support in relation to preparing, analysing, maintaining and improving systems for clinical audit, policy and practice development.
- To provide administrative, technical and educational assistance in the development and maintenance of data systems and performance reporting, and the development of new data sets to monitor the quality of clinical performance as required.

- Demonstrated ability to provide advice to managers, particularly in relation to use and development of clinical information data collection systems and data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work within an environment of competing demands, to problem solve and provide strategies, to deliver timely outcomes and meet reporting deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working in a large and complex health service organisation at a senior level with demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements and operating requirements
- Sound understanding of the principles of clinical governance and commitment to Clinical Quality and patient safety, and continuous improvement
- Excellent written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in the preparation of reports, briefs or educational materials
- Understanding of electronic databases and ability to manipulate large datasets across different applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
