Where you'll be working
You will be working in the District Clinical Governance Unit for Northern Sydney Local Health District. The position is based at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards


What you'll be doing

Assist the organisation to reduce unwarranted clinical variation, support the implementation of clinical quality improvement projects, and provide quality and safety related education and training, in line with local plans, state programs and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. 
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. A tertiary qualification in a clinical health discipline (e.g. undergraduate degree in medicine, nursing or allied health discipline) and/or extensive experience working in a clinical role within the public health sector.
  2. Understanding of patient safety and health care quality programs and an understanding of project management and change management.
  3. Demonstrated audit and analytical skills and an ability to understand and interpret complex clinical information accurately, and an understanding of how to apply this to the investigation of variation in clinical practice. A formal qualification in Quality Management, Clinical Research or other related field would be an advantage.
