YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Fixed Term, Part-Time Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Assistant (Study Coordinator) to join the research team within the Parkville Familial Cancer Centre (PFCC). The Centre provides a comprehensive cancer genetics service including cancer risk assessment, genetic counselling, genetic testing, medical advice and management as well as psychological support to individuals with concerns about their personal and/or family history of cancer. The Centre is also a hub for clinical and translational research.
In this role you will assist in the conduct of the PRiMo Trial - a large multi-site cancer prevention trial that is investigating the clinical utility of a personalised risk assessment that includes genomic testing. You will perform a range of study related tasks including collecting and managing participant data in REDCap, organising sample collection and transfer, using online risk assessment tools to generate participant's reports, and assisting with general research administrative tasks. You will be supported in this role by the PFCC research team, and you will assist in the day to day running of other PFCC research projects as required.
This is a 0.6FTE (preferably Wednesday-Friday), fixed term 12-month position.

You will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, and a high level of communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in Clinical Research and/or trials is desirable but not essential. Experience in cancer genetics is not a requirement but a willingness to learn is a must.
