About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Services Manager to oversee the operations of Suncare’s Clinical Services across Southeast and Central Queensland. The position will ensure the achievement of positive customer and organisational outcomes through effective leadership of high performing teams. 

The Clinical Services Manager will support the Operations Manager to actively contribute to quality and compliance systems and is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leading teams to meet operational objectives.

This position is offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis, based in our Maroochydore office.

Duties involved in the role

  • Manage and deliver services in accordance with funding program guidelines, legislative requirements, clinical practice guidelines and accreditation standards.
  • Optimise and oversee clinical operations and productivity, along with supporting the implementation of growth plans and new business opportunities.
  • Manage clinical budgets including monitoring expenses, optimising revenue generation and ensuring financial sustainability. 
  • Provide accurate and timely operational and budgetary updates to the Operations Manager identifying any potential performance concerns.
  • Work with the teams to adopt, report and achieve appropriate clinical engagement KPI’s. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance practice performance.
  • Review and analyse customer issues to devise and implement ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Embed a customer and employee experience culture that delivers exceptional value and delivers on our vision and values.
  • Lead and mentor clinical teams to ensure the delivery of high quality and effective services for customers and ensure there is continued development of capability within the team to meet ongoing organisational needs.
  • Working closely with the Human Resource team, manage the recruitment, selection, and performance of staff.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead, Governance and Practice to monitor practice safety and adherence to best practice approaches.

About You

You need to be enthusiastic and friendly, with demonstrated experience working within the health, community or social service sector, and an understanding of the impact of ageing and or disability on the lives of individuals and family member in the community. 

You will also possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or similar. 
  • Current practicing registration with relevant applicable body such as Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 
  • Tertiary qualification in leadership / management, or significant practical experience in leadership role managing daily operations across multidisciplinary teams. 
  • High level industry knowledge including Government funding, guidelines, legislation and standards including Aged Care and Disability. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including ability to establish rapport, maintain positive professional relationships and ensure effective consultation and negotiations with all stakeholders. 
  • High level computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management. 
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to cope with conflicting work pressures.
