What You Will Be Doing
The Clinical Support Nurse provides guidance and teaching to nurses to develop high quality clinical skills.
The Clinical Support Nurse demonstrates flexibility in supporting all levels of staff across the dedicated area. They work closely with the Clinical Educators, the Learning Hub and the Nurse Unit Managers to ensure learners are provided with a supported and quality learning experience focussed on risk mitigation, and developing staff along the novice to expert continuum.
The Clinical Support Nurse reinforces theoretical education and assists learners to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge for specialty practice. They act as a professional role model for learners and collaborate with managers and staff in the clinical areas to support and promote excellence in clinical knowledge and skills.>
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
•Registered Nurse with current condition-free AHPRA registration
•Bachelor of Nursing qualification
•At least four years of acute clinical experience (>2 years in the specialty area)
•Post Graduate Qualification in the Specialty Area
•Prior experience in teaching and supporting learners
•Demonstrated ability to interact with team members and learners from different educational level and cultural backgrounds
•Hold or working towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Higher Education qualification in Education

*Please refer to salary circular Nurses and Midwives enterprise Agreement
2020 -2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
