About the Role
Join our team as a Research Nurse on a part time (32hours / 4 days per week - Monday to Friday), fixed term (12 months - ending March 2025) to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton
The position of Research Nurse will include the following tasks as documented in the position description:
- Delivery of direct and indirect care to our Patients
- Prescreen and Screen patients for Clinical Trials as per the protocol
- Data Entry
- Coordination of Clinical trial
Monash Health Gastroenterology Unit conducts the bulk of Clinical Trials at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, however, several studies are conducted in our Springvale Community Centre, Cranbourne Integrated Health Care Centre. Travel between campuses and community centre's will be required at times.
- Research projects conducted by the Unit include all phase levels of Research; including phase I through to phase IV, investigator-initiated research and nursing research.
- Research areas include IBD, Liver Disease, including NASH, decompensated liver disease and HCC
- The Research team includes Research Nurses (study Coordinators), HREC Coordinator, Investigators, Nurses, Physicians and Allied Health
- Positive, can do attitude is critical
- Strong focus on Teamwork is essential
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are vital
- Experience in Research / Clinical Trials is desired but not essential
- Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 3 years Nursing experience
- Previous Research Experience – desirable (but not essential)
- Current GCP certificate – desirable (but not essential)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Contribute to the scientific knowledge regarding the Clinical Trial / research project
- Gain immense insight in the development of pharmaceutical medicines / devices
