About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Trials Coordinator to play a pivotal role in driving forward groundbreaking research initiatives within the Department of Medicine at Western Health and the Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS). As the primary coordinator for investigator-initiated Clinical Trials, you will spearhead critical aspects of trial management, from participant recruitment to ensuring GCP compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively and efficiently manage the Pomerium Study clinical research activities which involves but is not limited to; the recruitment of participants, coordinating and carrying out trial visits, phlebotomy, sample processing, IP ordering, accurate record keeping and case report form completion 
  • Provide research project updates in a timely manner to appropriate lead researcher 
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paper or electronic case reports and other study documentation such as patient follow-ups and laboratory investigations 

Who We Are Looking For
You possess exceptional patience, time management, and communication skills, crucial for coordinating Clinical Trials effectively. With a keen sense of organisation, initiative, and prioritisation, you excel in managing ethics submissions, research budgets, and setting deadlines.

You will also have:

  • BSc (Hons), BN or equivalent qualification with significant relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Previous experience with Clinical Trials including online reporting systems and data management programs
  • Demonstrated research and administration skills within the clinical research area
  • Ability to adhere to the principles of GCP
