Clinical Trials Operation Lead (CTOL)

• Work with a dedicated Clinical Trials team in a tertiary hospital environment
• Help enable patients to access new and exciting care and treatment in development
• Full time fixed term opportunity

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Our team of Research co-ordinators assist the Gastroenterology & Hepatology department, and the Colorectal Medicine and Genetics department, with providing patients access to exciting new trials, both investigator lead, and industry sponsored.
Your new role:

• Provides leadership and support for the clinical trial co-ordinators for both investigator initiated and industry sponsored research studies
• Works collaboratively as part of the Clinical Trials team
• Liaise directly with the RMH Office for Research, pharmaceutical sponsors, trial monitors, data managers, and other members of the Gastroenterology team.

About you:

• Proven ability to be an effective leader, assisting trials co-ordinators with workload management and patient visits
• Excellent communication skills
• Clinical expertise to provide day to day service delivery whilst exploring new ways of working across the clinical teams
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Able to deliver high quality patient care
• An AHPRA registered nurse with at least 5 years’ experience
• Clinical trials experience

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check, and where applicable, Working With Children Check (WWCC).
