What you'll be doing

The CPCS worker is an experienced clinician with extensive specialist knowledge, providing high quality specialist trauma-specific therapeutic counselling and casework services to children, young people and their families/carers referred to the SNSW Local Health District CPCS services, in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

Selection Criteria

  1. Post graduate experience providing high level specialist social work or psychology services to vulnerable children, young people and their families/carers with an understanding of relevant legislation and NSW Health policies, procedures and guidelines.
  2. Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to use independent professional judgement while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with interagency partners.
  4. Ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders to optimise outcomes for vulnerable children and their families/carers.
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care in keeping with AASW Code of Ethics or Aust. Psychology Board standards.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to and experience in providing professional development, quality improvement, clinical supervision and student supervision.
  7. Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
