About the Role
PARC is a programme which is operated in partnership between Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services and Wellways.
The PARC facility is located in Maude Street Shepparton and comprises of 9 units, communal areas and offices for staff.
Maximum occupancy is 10 participants.
PARC is a sub-acute facility providing care to participants who are Stepped-Up from the Community or Stepped Down from Wanyarra, the Acute Inpatient Unit.
2 PARC Clinicians work across a 7 day roster, working 0830-1700hrs.
The PARC Clinician works providing clinical care to participants alongside Wellways staff who provide psychosocial interventions to participants.
The PARC Clinician is supported by a Medical Officer during business hours and a Consultant Psychiatrist.
Key Responsibilities of the PARC Clinician:
- Co-ordinating entry and exits from the PARC programme with Wellways staff.
- Supporting participants to achieve their recovery goals.
- Participating in weekly Care Team Meetings with other clinical and Wellways staff.
- Completing daily Mental State and Risk Assessment of participants and escalating concerns where appropriate.

The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to priority positions across state funded mental health services in rural and regional Victoria. This role has been identified as being eligible for an incentive payment of up to $20,000.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
