ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinician or Allied Health Assistant at Life Choice you will play a vital role in supporting Participants of all ages to increase their independence and improve their quality of life. You will get to work closely with individuals, families, and a multi-disciplinary team to assess, develop and implement customised treatment plans and complete reports. Your responsibilities will include:
Occupational Therapist / Psychologist:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments & providing ongoing therapy sessions
- Developing personalised treatment plans in line with each Participants goals
- Monitoring and documenting participant progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, Allied Health assistances, caregivers, and educators to ensure holistic care and support
- Educating Participants and their families on strategies to enhance independence and participation in daily activities
- Maintaining accurate and organized Participant records
- Participating in team meetings and continuing education opportunities
- Upholding ethical standards and delivering high-quality care
Allied Health Assistant:
- Working under the direction of Allied Health professionals to assist with delivery of services to participants.
- Attending and participating in meetings, reviews and committees as required whilst seeking guidance and feedback from others on work performed
- Participating in regular professional development opportunities
- Contributing to the effective operation of the Allied Health department
- Maintaining accurate and organized Participant records
- Upholding ethical standards and delivering high-quality care
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Psychologist: Bachelor or Master Degree & APHRA registration (Provisional psychologists are welcome to apply)
- Occupational Therapist: Bachelor or Master Degree & APHRA registration (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Allied Health Assistant: Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or experience in a similar role within the industry and willingness to enrol in a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
- Experience working in a fee for service or NDIS setting (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Reliable and organized with attention to detail
- Commitment to continued professional development
