Our Client, a large Federal Government Department with offices across Australia are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a large program of work due to commence on the 1st of July 2024. As part of the Enterprise Solutions and Technology group, the DD business line is responsible for the end-to-end digital experience for individuals, agents, business, and internal contact centre platforms, as well as delivery of key components of the Department's digital agenda. DDS also plays a leading role in delivering key pillars of the Departments Digital Strategy and helping to achieve its aspiration to be fully digitalised by 2030.
The Cloud engineer works as part of our Systems team to design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services for our cloud hosted applications and help the branch leverage the benefits of cloud computing.
This role is responsible for:
- Implementation of cloud solutions. This includes deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud services and infrastructure;
- Planning and forecasting cloud sustainment costs, including regular reporting;
- Monitoring and optimisation of cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and appropriate utilisation;
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure;
- Provide guidance and advice relating to use of cloud including promotion of best practice;
- Automation and identification of opportunities to streamline processes as part of continuous improvement;
- Collaboration with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure cloud infrastructure is secure and resilient to support operations and applications.
