About Our Client
Our client, located in North Rocks, is an Australian-wide company, one of the largest importers, distributors and machinists of plastic stock shapes and conveyor components in Australia and New Zealand.
The opportunity
We are currently looking for passionate, enthusiastic Machine Operators who are looking to join an established, growing and dynamic business. In addition to offering long term secure work, we also offer ongoing training and career development to ensure your skills are always kept up to date.
This role will be strongly supported by the Manufacturing Manager and will form part of a team that works closely together to ensure the best results.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machine to cut, shape, and trim a variety of plastic components according to specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
- Monitor machine operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure the precision and quality of the finished product.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Laser Operator or in a similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machine controls.
- Experiance with Rhino and SCM machining centres, ALPHACAM and Solidworks software would be highly regarded but not essential.
- Experiance in G Code and PMG File codes is desirable.
- General lathe and milling experience for post CNC operations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machine operation is highly advantageous.
