We are currently seeking a qualified CNC machinist for a full-time role as a result of our continued growth. The role primarily involves programming, setting and operating Okuma CNC machines.
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified machinist.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CNC machining experience, Okuma preferred (setting, operating and programming)
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to work unsupervised but also be a team player.
- SolidWorks/SolidCAM experience advantageous.
- Experience in turning also advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set tools and operate CNC milling machines
- The ability to read and understand technical/manufacturing/engineering drawings & specifications
- Good understanding of tool selection and manufacturing methods
- Verifying components to the manufacturing specifications and tolerances (QC).
- Reliable, hardworking with a positive attitude
- Clear understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles
- Proficient in the use and calibration of measuring equipment including Vernier Calipers, Micrometres etc
- Maintain and care for all machines, tooling and equipment used.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interfacing with various team members to achieve the desired outcomes as outlined by senior management.
