3 axis machinist – working with hard materials on a brand new machine, also required to operate a CNC plasma cutter
Position Description
- Maintain the CNC 3 axis milling machine to a high standard, including regular housekeeping and inspections.
- Use handheld tools and power tools to make/repair parts and products.
- Liaise with production team to effectively plan and run the CNC machines to meet the production objectives.
- Interpret technical/engineering documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Work with other members of the group to assemble products.
- To meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Identify any defective items and handle accordingly to established procedures.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience operating Fanuc, CAD/CAM (or Similar programs) an advantage but not essential
- 3 axis CNC machining experience
- Basic modification of G Code to suit materials
- Good computer skills
- Forklift license an advantage but not essential
A 3 month Probation Period applies to this position. After this time all work uniforms will be provided.
