This is a hands-on position, competent in all areas of cooking and maintaining a high level of Food Hygiene Standards. Based in the heart of Wollongong, we are an extremely busy restaurant, offering counter meals and catering for functions and events.
About the opportunityWorking as part of a team you will be responsible for delivering high quality meals which are cooked and prepared at the venue. You will maintain the highest hygiene standards and ensure compliance to specific food preparation standards set by the venue and relevant regulations.
What you'll need to succeed- Experience working in a hands-on, team focused bistro style kitchen
- Knowledge of cooking practices as they apply to the relevant venue's menu
- An uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Trade cooking qualifications would be beneficial but not essential

Hours: Chefs/Cooks are expected to work split shifts including weekends, public holidays, and evenings as required.
Pay: Casual hourly Rates based on the applicable Award schedule.
