The Role.
The opening of this combined CNC Machinist / Programmer position presents an exciting opportunity to obtain experience working within the Defence Industry. The role requires the following:
- Operating Pinnacle VMC 1100S (inc. 4 axis) with Mitsubishi Electric Meldas 60S controller.
- Generation of accurate, high-quality, and timely programs using CAM software for 3 and 4 axis machining centres.
- CNC milling and manual lathe operations.
- Design, model and program fixturing.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience.
Trade or engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential. To be considered for this position, you will be required to demonstrate that you have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of CNC programming and machining operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of CAD/CAM software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in design, model and program fixturing.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret/read technical drawings.
- Knowledge of and commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Understanding of and experience with quality control procedures and systems (ISO9001)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
