Due to our continuing development and success in key industry sectors, we currently have several positions available for a CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Edinburgh North.

 Trade or engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential. To be considered for this position, you will be required to demonstrate that you have the following skills and experience:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of CNC programming and machining operations.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of CAD/CAM software.

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in design, model and program fixturing.

Demonstrated ability to interpret/read technical drawings.

Knowledge of and commitment to workplace health and safety.

Understanding of and experience with quality control procedures and systems (ISO9001)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.

 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 The right candidate will possess the following criteria:

• Self-starter that takes pride in the end result.
• Demonstrate a solid awareness of OH&S practices.
• A commitment to working to a high standard.
• Be a motivated and punctual person.
• Required to work in a team environment.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• Physically fit and able to pass medical assessment and police clearance. 
• The desire to constantly improve and work towards a trade. 
• Preferred that you have a forklift licence.
• Working with CNC heavy machinery from set up to operation to produce parts from metal and other materials.
• Preparing programs for parts in accordance with relevant mechanical specifications and machine input requirements.
• Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the required product by reading mechanical drawing and instructions.
• Resolving issues before or during the manufacturing cycle and recommending changes.
• Assess and create cost effective methods of production.
• Control speed, material feed and path of operation to ensure quality product.
• Ensure machine is cleaned and maintained.
• Ensure workplace is clean and clear for effective and safe production.
• Ensure a positive work environment for your contribution, output and team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equiv.
• EXPERIENCED 3 axis programmer using CAD/CAM Software
• EXPERIENCE IN SOLIDCAM HIGHLY REGARDED
• MULTIAXIS EXPERIENCE HIGHLY REGARDED
