You will thrive in the fast-paced start-up world where no two days are the same. You’ll be joining a team of smart, driven, collaborative and highly dedicated individuals who love solving engineering challenges and who are excited to be fighting the climate crisis.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESProgram and operate a CNC Mill;Ability to operate a range of machine and rapid prototyping tools including water jet and laser cutters, 3D printers, grinders to manufacture components;Ensuring proper machine function, inventory of raw materials, area safety and tidiness;Provide feedback on designs and be an active participation in Design for Manufacture reviews;Design of fixtures and jigs for production;Assist in the manufacture of custom solutions (components and assemblies) for problems posed by the Hysata team, offering feedback on designs;Development of the training process of a growing team on equipment usage and shop best practices; andProvide input safety protocols for new and existing equipment.ABOUT YOURelevant Trade Qualification;2+ years of tradesman experience working as a machinist in a prototyping/jobbing shop setting;Ability to program and operate a CNC Mill;Working knowledge of work holding methods and fixturing;CAD/CAM experience;Experience working with a range of materials, plastics as well as metals;Motivated, capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment;Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment;Ability to solve commonly encountered problems; andClear and open communication.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Package: Competitive Annual Salary and optionsIdyllic LocationPerks:Stock options granted on successful completion of probation;Salary Sacrifice into Superannuation;Flexible working conditions;Recognition of Service;Wellness Allowance;EAP – Sonder;External Benefits and Perks (including Novated Leasing options) – Flare Benefits; andAwesome work environment and a pretty cool team!If you don’t tick every box in this ad, please don’t rule yourself out just yet.
