About you/responsibilities required but not limited to:
- Manage and lead workshop staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Responsible for KPI- Machine utilization, Rework cost, and delivery performance.
- Supervise workshop staff and apprentices, providing guidance and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Collaborate with Engineers and internal Schedular to optimize processes and establish production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost control measures.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels and liaise with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager on manufacturing performance, challenges, and improvements.
- Participate in disciplinary and or staff grievances in conjunction with Human Resources as required.
- Induct and train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
- Complete any investigations, root cause analysis & corrective actions in conjunction with the safety team.
- Liaise with the Senior Management team as required.
- Conducting toolbox meetings and involvement in project meetings.
Must Have’s
- Experience trade background in fitting, machining, or tool making would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in operating CNC machines and programs using CAM software / Edge Cam would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can-do attitude and be a go-to person when people need help.
- The ability to relate technical information to non-technical person.
- Results driven and self- motivated.
- Experience in managing people is expected/ for the right candidates training will be provided.
