A Cold Store Operator (warehouse operator) in a meatworks facility is responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse. Their duties include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of supplies, equipment, and products.
- Stacking boxes in cold warehouse with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling
- Recording and maintaining accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
- Organizing and storing products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other equipment.
- Ensuring a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Performing regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies or shortages.
- Complying with health and safety regulations and ensuring warehouse safety standards are met.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is typically required, along with knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $25.90 – $32.93
- Annual salary range: $53863 - $68489
