Position Summary:
UNSW Library is one of Australia’s major research libraries, with extensive scholarly information resources, services and facilities delivered online and on campus. It serves a large population of academic and research staff, and students across multiple campuses and affiliated research institutes. The Library is a department within the Division of Academic Quality and has sites across Kensington, Paddington and Randwick.
The Digitisation and Collection Access unit delivers core collection services including the Research Collection Management service. The Collection Maintenance Assistant provides these high-quality services across Library locations ensuring staff and students can use the physical Library effectively. The Collection Maintenance services fluctuate throughout the academic calendar year.
The role reports to a Team Coordinator, Digitisation and Collection Access and has no direct reports.
Key responsibilities:
Locating, retrieving and relocating books
Scanning book barcodes and using Excel to manage scanned data
Returning and reshelving books
Tidying and reshelving books used within the Library
What we are looking for from you:

Great teamwork
Excel skills
Span of working hours 9am – 5pm, Mon – Fri, minimum 3 hours per shift, 2-4 shifts per week. Pay rate: $45.45 per hour
