Form of workWe are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Collections Officer to join one of Australia’s leading personal loan providers. Handy Finance is a leading fintech with a mission to Make Money Simple and this his role represents an opportunity to support an incredibly exciting, fast-growing financial technology company (‘FinTech’), that offers substantial personal and professional development opportunities.
What you’ll do
You will provide support the credit team by collecting overdue payments, with excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Case management of long-dated collections matters
- Completing daily arrears reporting for failed payments
- Managing inbound and outbound calls from customers and related parties to failed payments or active collection’s customers.
- Complete business reporting requirements for both internal & external stakeholders.
- Providing collections insights/trends to credit & Operations teams
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a busy office and/or collections role
- High level of emotional intelligence, with an exemplary phone manner
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- A commitment to the delivery of a high-quality service
- The ability to investigate leads and think outside the square to solve problems
- A solid understanding of collections legislation, including knowledge of the litigation process, will be looked upon favourably
- A 'Team Player', someone willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved!
