St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of over 2000 boys from Years 5-12.
Applications are invited for this permanent, full-time position, commencing as soon as possible, with the start date to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The College Counsellor provides individual and group counselling services to students. The Counsellor is required to utilise professional counselling skills to address the relevant educational, personal and social needs of students within the school setting. The College Counsellor operates as an integral part of the school's educational team and provides services which are negotiated with and authorised by the Principal in support of the Mission of the College. The College Counsellor works under the professional guidance and direction of the Dean of Pastoral Care (Senior School).

- A Bachelors degree in Psychology, Counselling or other related field.
- Exceptions will be made in the case of extensive experience, although some educational experience will still be required. (Please state any in-service training or other training completed).
- Knowledge of, and experience in, counselling and adolescent development, particularly in relation to the education of boys, would be looked at favourably.
