An exciting opportunity in our College (grade/year 10 to 12) awaits a highly engaged teacher who is passionate about students, their learning and wellbeing. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, incorporating biblical threads in the curriculum and be committed to building and maintaining relationships with students and their families.
The successful applicant/s will be responsible for:
- Teaching Humanities subjects and or other fields of specialty by negotiation
- Delivering lessons incorporating teaching of biblical perspectives in each subject area
- Preparing curriculum documents including scope and sequence and unit plans
- Delivering and assessing lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum V9 and or TASC (Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification) in a meaningful and engaging way
- Building and maintaining home/school partnerships where school families support is valued and encouraged to provide quality outcomes for students
- Fostering the wellbeing of students in a Christian education environment
The successful applicant will be willing to work in our highly collaborative and effective school team under the leadership of the Head of School.
The successful applicant will have:

- Passionate about students and their learning
- Excellent skills in building relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Demonstrated teaching experience and leadership (if relevant to the position)
- Sound judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed administrative skills
- Character traits that include humility, honesty, selflessness & integrity
- Current Tasmanian Teachers Registration or eligible to be registered
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card or eligible to hold
- Current First Aid Certificate to the level of HLTAID011
- A written reference from your pastor or minister
Remuneration
The salary for this position will range from $74,000 to $108,000, depending on qualifications held and the experience of the applicant.
If you have children in your family to be enrolled at the school they will attract a 25% discount on their school fees.

Circular Head Christian School is an independent Kinder-12 co-educational Christian school, operating in three sub-schools of Junior School (kinder – year 5); Middle School (year 6 – year 9) and College (year 10 – year 12).
Our college program includes a highly acclaimed ACCESS (Vocational Education) program for all students in year 10-12 to gain Certificate I- IV training in their chosen field.
The school employs around 30 full and part-time teachers. Each sub-school is led by a Head of School, assisted by the Principal.
