About the role
As the Commercial Agreements Lead, you will be responsible for supervising agreements officers and supporting the Senior Manager Commercial Agreements and Tenant Relationships (CATR) to allocate work across the broader team to ensure the timely delivery of new and renewed agreements. In this role, you will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to bring Parks Victoria's commercial agreement management into a new era of capability; one that works to be a best-practice park management organisation, striving for excellence in protecting and managing Victoria's outstanding system of parks and reserves. You will support and implement initiatives that achieve greater productivity, organisational effectiveness, and increased commercial returns that are considerate of the environment in which we operate.

Parks Victoria is responsible for managing a diverse estate of more than 4 million hectares including 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves making up 18 per cent of Victoria's landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria's wetlands and 70 per cent of Victoria's coastline. We're looking for someone with:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in land and/or property management or approved equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience in management and negotiation of complex commercial contract portfolios, with a particular focus on property, assets or land.
- Proven experience in conducting complex lease negotiations involving multiple legislative considerations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the appropriate interpretation and implementation of relevant legislation and associated regulations, guidelines, policies and practices, preferably within a large and complex government organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
