Role Overview
Reporting to the CFO, this Commercial Analyst will lead the financial and commercial analysis across this national business. The Commercial Analyst will have day to day responsibility for supporting the review of departmental results, drive budgeting and forecast cycles and contribute to cost saving initiatives and project margin opportunities. The key success factors will be your desire to grow, understanding of how to effectively business partner and ability to develop strong working relationships.
Responsibilities
- Review the financial results for the department and ensure clarity of insight around drivers for performance, risks and opportunities
- Commercial decision support for business leaders, sales teams and service departments.
- Lead the forecast and budget process through a connectedness with your stakeholders
- Work closely with internal business functions to ensure the correct execution and administration of project reporting.
- Help drive continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Weekly revenue analysis and reporting
- Monthly revenue analysis - industry, state, client, project margin review and individual project evaluations as required
- Monthly purchase order compliance reporting and non-chargeable hours reporting
- Capex decision support and analysis
Candidate Profile
With a degree in Business or Commerce, you are looking to grow your career in a commercially focussed role leveraging your finance experience. With have a passion for adding value and learning a product/service and how it contributed to a customer's success.
You may be 3-4 years years since completing your degree or in a commercial or business analyst role or potentially an analyst in one of the larger audit firms looking to make your first move into a true commercial business partnering role.
You hold exemplary communication skills that you leverage in engaging across internal and external stakeholders, and have an energy that is evident of your desire to grow.
