And that's not all - you'll also be instrumental in shaping our future by spearheading the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes for your functions, ensuring every move aligns seamlessly with our overarching business objectives.What You'll Be DoingAs a Commercial Analyst working for Kmart and Target, you will:
- Support key stakeholders on strategic and commercial projects, contributing to business cases, investment appraisals, and contract evaluations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement action plans and steer future trade strategy, including planning tactical offers.
- Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting/planning processes for stakeholders, ensuring inputs and outcomes make financial and commercial sense, and the functions meet their annual targets.
- Provide financial and commercial support to stakeholders on project cost control, performance reporting, and process improvements.
- Deliver regular reporting, perform ad hoc analysis, and develop tools and processes to deliver insights, identify risks/opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
- Review the end-to-end performance of weekly trade and promotional activities, events, and campaigns, contributing to Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and providing insightful learnings & recommendations.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a financial or commercial role, preferably within a large-scale retail or consumer goods industry.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting, as you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models to support decision-making processes.
- A solid foundation in financial analysis, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and solve business problems.
- A degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is required. Additional qualifications such as CA/CPA, CFA, or a Master's degree are preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
