The Commercial Coordinator is accountable for the standardisation, rationalisation and entry of clinical equipment into UnitingCare Hospital group. This is achieved through a framework which supports the commercial understanding and coordination of the UCH clinical product process in conjunction with a fair and just evaluation of clinical equipment and consumables to ensure the safe delivery of care to our patients.
In line with UCH governance and clinical standards, this role ensures products which enter UC Hospital facilities are fit for use and meet the hospitals needs. Additionally, the role is responsible for understanding the needs of the business and driving value and savings for the UC Hospital group whilst ensuring the safe delivery of services for our patients.
While primarily reporting to the General Manager Purchasing the Commercial Product Coordinator Equipment and Service will work closely with UC Group Procurement, Clinical and Non-Clinical roles, Purchasing and Supply and the Medical and Allied Health Practitioners who operate within the UCH Hospital group to ensure the safe delivery of services.
What makes a difference for us?
- Clinical experience and/or understanding of the Hospital environment, such as Hospital account management, Nursing, Biomedical or significant like experience
- Degree qualified (Desirable)
- Ability to work in a cohesive team supporting across the business in both metro and regional environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work and develop collaborative relationships, across 4 sites driving outcomes and support business principals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Clinical experience and knowledge of products used in hospital theatres and wards.
- Understanding of suppliers within healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of health care legislation regarding clinical products and equipment.
- Demonstrated abilities in data collection, interpretation and analysis of data, to critically review the utilisation and application of resources.
- Ability to practise within an evidence-based framework and initiate quality improvement and research activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
