The role:
Knight Frank Newcastle is seeking a Facilities Manager, to join our Asset Management Team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality management of key commercial buildings in the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie area.
This role is responsible for the hands-on support, operation and maintenance of assets within the portfolio the key focus of this role is to ensure that these assets are managed in a safe, efficient and inviting manner. This includes driving the success of overall facilities management, administrative duties, tenancy matters, leasing, tenancy fit outs and compliance matters.

Key Tasks:
- Operations: Hands on running of the day-to-day operations of a large commercial asset, including statutory compliance, WHS and safety management, OPEX and CAPEX requests/planning and driving contractor management to achieve strategic and operational objectives, with support from the Property Manager.
- Financial Reporting: Assist the Property Manager manage the operational budget, including accruals, variance commentary reporting, completion of annual budgets and re-forecasts and outgoings and tenant charges.
- Relationship management - Develop good working relationship with tenants, contractors and owners.
- Administration: Assist the Property Managers deliver on business reports, coordinating and approving invoices and timely payment.
Who are we looking for?
Experience and Qualifications
- Trade qualifications or studying towards, background in maintenance or facilities
- A demonstrated understanding of the property industry and sector, with prior commercial real estate experience advantageous
- Experience in contractor management
- Driver's license (and own vehicle)
- Strong relationship focus
- Achievement orientated
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem solving and interpretation skills
- Proactive and positive attitude
