Manage the commercial negotiations and strategy across the full lifecycle of large scale renewable projects

Their retail business provides long- energy supply agreements, energy trading, risk management and asset management services to business customers.
About the role
Provide sound commercial advice to the Renewables team and various stakeholders across ANZ. The role is responsible for executing the procurement, contract management and commercial strategy across a large portfolio of renewable assets, including the negotiation, finalization and ongoing administration and management of key contracts.
Responsibilities
- Optimize commercial terms and conditions for risk management.
- Lead negotiation of standard terms and service level agreements.
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes.
- Coordinate activities related to major delivery contracts.
- Contribute to project procurement strategy development.
- Lead and coordinate procurement of various contracts.
- Manage tendering process, supplier evaluation, and selection.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice for performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure activities align with business strategic goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Multiple years’ experience relevant to role requirements within the renewable energy industry, infrastructure or power projects
- Proven commercial acumen through end-to-end delivery of contract strategy development, contract negotiation and contract administration during project development, delivery and operation.
- Sound knowledge of procurement and commercialisation principles and renewable industry best practices
- Considerable experience in delivery (e.g. EPC) contract formation
- Sound leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through his/her influence
- Proven ability and credibility to influence outcomes with stakeholders (internal & external)
- Strong interpersonal skill set including ability to build relationships and influence colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Capacity to achieve and exceed in a complex and sometimes difficult environment.
