THE ROLE
To successfully run multiple hospitality, retail and/or corporate construction fit-out projects assigned to you, on time and on budget. For each project, you will be issued a budget, list of appointed contractors and resources and you will be accountable, but not limited to, the following:
- Project, Quality and Risk Management
- Managing the Client and Key Stakeholders such as Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Building Management, Union Reps, etc
- Utilise existing 3rd party software to build and manage project plans, cost reporting, KPIs, budgets, forecasting, progress payments, variations and claims submissions
- When relevant, supervise the Site Manager(s)
- In line with FSCI’s Project Management Process, manage assigned construction and fit-out project(s) End-2-End
- Procurement of required fit-out items as noted by the Architects/Designers
- Ongoing project status and communications with all stakeholders
- Fulfill performance management and project debrief requirements
- Attend Monthly Management Meetings at the office in Williamstown North.
ABOUT YOU:
- Must be of Permanent Residence as we unfortunately offer no sponsorship
- You know how to site manage and you know how to build
- Minimum 2 years in a similar shop-fit out role
- Skilled at reading and understanding construction fit-out drawings including mechanical, fire, electrical, hydraulic and engineering type drawings
- Ability to create and maintain Project Plan(s) and issue status reports on a regular basis
- Ability to assess and manage the requirements of a project throughout its life-cycle
- Ability to manage multiple projects, large workloads, handling high-pressure situations and meet KPI requirements
- Ability to identify specific constraints or risks that may affect the project, to resolution
- An instinctive problem solver with strong decision making and negotiation skills, along with a strong focus on meeting project specifications within budget and to determined deadlines
- Sound understanding of construction industry OHS&E, SWMS, legislation, regulations, and compliance obligations
- Microsoft Word skills
- Construction White Card
- Australian Driver’s Licence
