We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Commercial Manager to join our clients dynamic team for a leading energy infrastructure company. This is a pivotal role for a passionate finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys playing a key role in shaping the future of critical infrastructure projects.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with project leaders to understand and forecast project performance, identifying and mitigating risks while unlocking opportunities.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring ROI aligns with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Treasury and Corporate Finance teams to secure funding for key projects, preparing compelling investment materials for senior leadership and the Board.
- Monitor and report on the financial health of the Major Projects portfolio, providing insightful analysis and driving informed decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing internal controls and processes to ensure financial compliance and best practices.
- Contribute to high-level discussions within the leadership team, offering valuable financial expertise and influencing strategic direction.
- A qualified accountant (CPA/CA ANZ) with 7+ years of experience in a project-intensive environment.
- Proven track record of delivering accurate forecasts and driving cost efficiencies within major projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
- A proactive and collaborative individual with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
