Commercial Manager

Advancing careers. Advancing everyday life.Newlands Project has a site-based opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join the team. Operating as an Open Cut Mine until February 2023, we have now finished coal production and are progressing ahead to new and exciting times. We strive to be industry leaders as we transition to be Queensland's largest rehabilitation project. Reporting to the Project Manager/SSE, you will playing a key role in the site senior management team and have excellent communications skills and the ability to motivate and influence your team and key stakeholders. Supporting all departments onsite through analysis and cost reporting as we complete mine closure and rehabilitation requirements, whilst managing the commercial team including, contracts, supply and purchasing. In this role you will be responsible for: · Financial control and compliance, management and financial reporting, capital and project work justification and approval. · Preparation of site budgets and forecasts, support the operation with cost models, scenario planning and cost control systems. · Site contract management, supply, purchasing and warehouse functions under your control. Requirements for the role include: · Experience in a similar role within the resources or heavy industry sector (3-5years), · Qualifications in accounting/business or commerce disciplines and CA/CPA qualifications · You will possess strong Microsoft Office, SAP & Xeras competence. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
