D'Arcy Weil is representing a leading global player in the Renewable Energy sector, dedicated to sustainable development and combating climate change. With operations spanning multiple countries, our client is committed to delivering clean, reliable, and affordable energy solutions to power a sustainable future.They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Manager to join our client's Renewable Energy Development & Asset Management team. This pivotal role will involve driving our client's commercial strategy, overseeing project development, and managing assets throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing commercial strategies to maximise the value of Renewable Energy projects.
- Leading negotiations and managing contracts with suppliers, offtakers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and project development milestones.
- Providing financial analysis and modelling support for project evaluations and investment decisions.
- Overseeing the performance of existing assets, including monitoring operational metrics and optimising revenue streams.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, including utilities, government agencies, and financial institutions.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial processes and efficiency.
- Providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial management within the Renewable Energy sector, with a strong understanding of project development and Asset Management processes.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to perform financial modelling and risk assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages considered a plus.
