The role
We are seeking a highly driven and results oriented Associate to expand our Capital Transactions & Direct Capital Team, with a focus on new business, new fund creation and capital raising initiatives to drive the successful expansion and sustainable growth of the Group.
You will play a pivotal role in modelling and analysing new opportunities, product and funds structuring, and executing capital raising transactions to deliver on GPT's strategic objectives. This will include researching and underwriting sector fundamentals, developing fund models and feasibilities and coordinating deal teams to establish capital raising and fund documentation.
This new position provides an outstanding opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenging and complex new initiatives with broad exposure both within the Group and externally, in an ASX100 corporate environment.
What you will be doing
- Evaluating and analysing new business opportunities including joint ventures, capital partners, as well as new products and funds to support the Group's growth objectives.
- Conducting financial analysis including developing and analysing financial models, investment structures, and transaction proposals to support capital raising efforts and assess opportunities.
- Preparing pitch materials, offering memoranda, capital raising, investment and marketing presentations to highlight opportunities and strategic initiatives, inform investment decisions and support capital raising activities.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including financial planning & analysis, legal, risk and compliance; to optimise new product and fund structures and ensure their timely execution and adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations, demonstrating a deep understanding of market trends, investment strategies and opportunities, to drive successful outcomes.
- Staying abreast of market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate and funds sectors, providing valuable insights and recommendations to institutional clients, partners and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of the property industry, including investment trends, asset classes, with experience in fund and product structuring and capital formation; are also required.
