Our client is seeking Commercial Procurement Advisor to join their team in Canberra to assist in conducting an assurance activity to current contracts within the Branch to ensure these are fit for purpose and reflect value for money for the client.Deliverables:
- Review current commercial arrangements within the Branch
- Assess all current active contracts to ensure the Branch has committed to the best value for money (VFM);
- Assess upcoming contracts to ensure that the client has committed to the best VFM and the contract is fit for purpose;
- Provide a dashboard of current contracts outlining performance against a number of criteria including but not limited to:
- Contract objectives;
- Quality of deliverables;
- Cost performance;
- Schedule performance;
- Compliance and risk management;
- Lessons learnt.
- Development of the Branch procurement plan, which includes but is not limited to providing an outline of procurement activities and working with relevant directors to ensure knowledge and responsibility is understood and to execute procurement activities in line with the Branch procurement plan.
- Experience in Commercial Procurement and proven ability in Procurement management;
- Strong negotiation and communication skills;
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with customers, partners, industry leaders and government;
- Develop specific ICT contract scopes and services as part of transitioning to a modern workplace service offering;
- Support the conduct of tender evaluation activities - which may include participating in Tender Evaluation Working Groups (commercial or technical)
