Your new role
In an advisory capacity, you will:
- Provide a high level of Contracts and Procurement Advisor services to internal and external resources, ensuring compliance with procurement policy and managing contractual relationships
- Assist business areas in achieving their operational and strategic objectives by delivering accurate and timely advice relating to resourcing requirements, tender processes and contract management matters
What you'll need to succeed
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing high level advice and assistance to staff in the preparation of tender documents, conducting tender evaluations, leading negotiations and drafting contracts in accordance with internal policies and Procurement guidelines.
- Ensure the agency's compliance with procurement policy, contract management processes, capturing and reporting procurement and contract data.
- Support the agency's business areas in their strategic objectives by providing tailored contracting and Procurement solutions as required.
- Monitoring compliance with procurement and contract management policies and associated process and procedures.
- Assisting in maintaining the procurement and contract management policies, procedures and manuals.
- Assist in the maintenance of the contract and Procurement software database ensuring accuracy of data collection, reporting, and input activities.
Highly Desirables:
- Experience in government procurement and contract management
- Demonstrated understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Be experienced in conducting procurement processes, including drafting approach to market documentation, undertaking evaluation activities and contract drafting
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including providing analysis of complex issues and advice to senior management as required
- Provide quality, consistent and timely best practice procurement and contracting advice and support services for business areas
- Qualifications in Procurement and Contract Management
