We are committed to safer processes and operations, respecting the environment and traditional owners, while increasing our contributions to the local community. As we continue to strive for excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Superintendent to join our team.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the operations team, this is a key role responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of the business, inclusive of budget development, project control and reporting. The role encompasses procurement, contracts administration and product export coordination.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the site-based commercial activities, with DIDO to our operations 2 ½ hours drive west of Cairns
- Assist the CFO with development of capital & operating budgets and reforecasts
- Manage all commercial aspects of construction projects, administering project account and cost control from inception to completion
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays
- Providing guidance and support to team members
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Establishing and managing the contracting and procurement resources, processes and procedures
- Tendering contracts and applying knowledge on contract awards
- Oversee the administration of contracts through the execution, and amendments
- Ensure all contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Coordination of product export sales
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related documentation
- Identify areas to improve commercial processes, workflows, and practices to improve efficiency and functionality
- Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns
- Develop project and cost reporting to assist with business analysis and decision-making
- Preparation of presentations for executive/board
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Business/Commerce/Engineering Degree
- Commercial, Contracts & Project experience
- Advanced level of MS Office & Business Intelligence skillsets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
