The Venue
Excelsior is lively, loud and proud of it. The El Loco brand is offered in both locations, Excelsior in Surry Hills and Slip Inn in the CBD. These cantinas combine food, fun and friends for the ultimate Mexican fiesta.
The El Loco menu at is similar across the 2 locations and includes a range of mouth-watering dishes, including Mexican-style beef brisket burger, quesabirria, El Frederiko hot dog, as well as dishing up the fan favourite tacos. The venue is popular with after work drinks and grabbing a bite to eat, with happy hour running Monday-Friday and Taco Tuesday.
The Role
We are looking for a Commis chef who can work independently in the hot section. This is a great opportunity to step up in your career.
1-2 years experience in a hot section (Grills/Planchas/Fryer)
Available to work atleast late night shifts per week (Thursday till 2 AM/ Friday till 3 AM/ Saturday till 3 AM)
Has a love of Mexican food.
Passion for good food and keeping consistency.
Professional and with good communication and management skills.
