Commis Chef (Part Time) - Morwell Hotel
The Morwell Hotel, or 'Top Pub' as known by the locals to Morwell, is a local favourite in Melbourne's outer east. Sitting on Prices Drive, we offer a huge array of facilities and areas for everyone to enjoy.
Inspired by our local surroundings and producers, we believe in sourcing locally and sustainably. Our Bistro has something for everyone, including fresh seafood, steaks, pastas, salads and all the pub classics you know and love.
About the opportunity
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for delivering the high quality guest meals that are cooked and prepared at this venue. You will maintain the highest hygiene standards and ensure compliance to specific food preparation standards set by the venue and relevant regulations. You will be expected to work various shift each week around 32 hours, depending on the week.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in a hands-on, team focused bistro style kitchen
- Knowledge of cooking practices as they apply to the relevant venue's menu
- An uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Trade cooking qualifications are essential
