Ideally located on Salamanca Place and close to the waterfront, Peppina is the heart of Hobart's Parliament Square, complimenting Tasmania's newest luxury hotel, The Tasman.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking passionate industry professionals for Commis Chef - Peppina (Casual) roles to assist with the execution of Massimo Mele's menu which gives Italian cuisine a local Tasmanian twist. The menu has a produce driven philosophy - simple, uncomplicated and seasonally changing, using quality ingredients where the local produce is hero.
Our Commis Chef team members will have previous experience in a similar position, and:
- Enjoy connecting with growers and showcasing local produce
- Have genuine passion for cooking and celebrating hospitality
- Able to work calmly and accurately under pressure
- Great time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Able to execute dishes of extremely high quality
- Work cleanly and safely to health and safety standards
- Full working rights in Australia
This is a rare opportunity to join our signature restaurant Peppina from inception and work in a professional, supportive and creative environment alongside industry professionals. Our kitchen is brand new, so you will also get to enjoy working in a state of the art, new kitchen right in the heart of Hobart!
