The Division
Stakeholder Engagement Division helps to create and shape the environment in which CASA works to improve aviation safety by building trust and awareness with our stakeholders and by delivering credible, consistent communication, safety education and client services.
The Opportunity
The Communications Branch is responsible for CASA’s communication activities. This includes broad public and industry consultation and communication strategies, media engagement, website and intranet management, social media channels, safety promotion activities, graphic design, video production, sponsorships and event management, and development of Plain English Guides.
Reporting to the Communication and Business Coordinator, this role provides support to CASA’s safety promotion activities through a coordinated and strategic approach to the delivery of promotional products, printed materials, events and other collateral.
The Communication and Business Support Officer is responsible for the following deliverables, which represent an ongoing body of work:
· Supports the strategic alignment of promotional and educational collateral for safety campaigns and educational initiatives
· assists with delivery and development of materials for campaigns in line with communication colleagues and subject matter experts
· assists with technical printing requirements for the branch including liaising with designers and suppliers on paper type, stock, colours, binding, finishes, liaising with printers on proof movements, author corrections, negotiate costings, quality control, and resolving of conflicts
· supports the procurement of promotional and educational collateral, including seeking quotes, drafting approach to markets, liaising with providers and making recommendations to branch staff and management
· assists with coordination of CASA online store warehousing and eCommerce platform including liaising with stakeholders, stock monitoring, audits, system updates, adjustments and monitoring
· supports the section and wider branch to deliver key Communication and engagement activities
· coordinates the distribution of education and communications material
· provides financial administration and purchasing support in accordance with finance and procurement policies
· provides administrative support to the Communication Branch, as well as Stakeholder Engagement Division when required.
· at all times, acts consistently in accordance with the CASA values and behaviours
· promotes workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace.
