Permanent opportunity for an experienced Communications & Community Engagement professional. The successful applicant is passionate about building strong relationships with local, digital, multicultural and business communities and has a knack for engaging residents and promoting community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement projects
- Build ongoing relationships and partnerships with local, digital, multicultural, and business communities
- Assist in the development of plans and negotiations with private and public sectors
- Prepare multimedia marketing materials such as social media campaigns, videos, and newsletters
- Undertake research and prepare reports, plans, and strategies
- Adhoc speechwriting when required
- Provide professional guidance and advice to the Coordinator as required
Key Requirements:
- Degree in communications, marketing, place management, or related discipline
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in place management and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of community engagement principles
- Experience in multimedia management strategies and marketing campaigns
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign or similar
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work outside of regular office hours when required
Desirable Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Certificate in IAP2 Engagement or willingness to obtain
- Ability to speak a community language other than English
