About the role
Reporting to the General Manager People & Talent, the Communications Lead will plan, coordinate and deliver corporate communication (internal and external) and employee engagement strategies for JBS&G, in alignment with company goals and values. We are seeking a part-time Communications Lead with 5-10 years’ experience or more, to be based in our Adelaide office.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain an Internal Communications calendar to enhance employee engagement, development and promote a positive organisational culture.
- Support the CEO, National Leadership Group and State Managers to deliver effective communications and events.
- Craft compelling content to keep staff informed about company updates, achievements and news across a variety of internal mediums including intranet, Viva Engage (Yammer), email, Town Halls, newsletters and video.
- Proactively drive Viva Engage (formerly Yammer) engagement.
- Day-to-day management of JBS&G SharePoint and websites.
- Work closely with our internal graphic designers to safeguard and promote the organisation’s brand, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
- Source, write and edit engaging content for digital communication channels, in line with company goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with relevant industry publications and organisations.
- Develop a plan of events and opportunities to support company and service-stream goals such as conferences, workshops, career expos, speaking opportunities and advertising.
About you
This role will suit someone with experience in corporate communications, media, marketing, public relations or related field. We are also looking for someone who is degree qualified in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field and who can has:
- Proven experience in internal communications, brand or corporate communications
- Knowledge or experience in a Professional Services or Consultancy industry is a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and with colleagues in different states
- An personality that is reliable, high energy and friendly, and drives innovation
- A willingness to support JBS&G’s Corporate Affairs service, Consentium, subject to client need
- Some travel and out of hours work may be required on occasion to fulfill responsibilities.
