Role Details
The Communications Lead is responsible for delivering targeted communications activities that enhance the Museum's profile and reputation, and meet audience, revenue, and communications objectives, including:
- Develop and execute communications projects and campaigns that promote the Museum.
- Manage media placement and public relations activities to drive earned media that delivers strategic outcomes.
- Provide a copywriting service for promotional materials, campaigns and specific events.
- Establish relationships with state and national media and provide effective management of media and PR events.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
- This position is a job share arrangement (two days per week)
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or equivalent.

$84,522 - $94,003 p.a. (adjusted to part time hours worked)
