Contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University.

About the role

As the Senior Change and Communications Lead you will be responsible for the operational delivery of a comprehensive Change and Communication Program enabling the creation of and transition to the new Adelaide University. You will design and develop strategies, activities, processes and tools to deliver the internal communications and change functions for an in-flight program. Working in the Change and Communications team in the Integration Management Office (IMO), you will collaborate with key senior leaders and stakeholders across the University of South Australia (UniSA), The University of Adelaide (UoA) and the Integration and Transformation Partner (I&TP).

You will be a key leader within the IMO program team in a program delivery environment. This results in a fast paced and dynamic environment in which the Change and Communications team forms a critical role in bringing together a cohesive change experience and plan across all elements of change (process, policy and procedure, technology, and people).

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead, design and develop Change and communication strategies, activities, processes and tools required to support the transition plan
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of the plan with senior sponsor, functional leads, the IMO, and teams delivering other Sub Critical Paths in line with agreed scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and facilitate communications across the IMO program
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implementation strategies and plans and adjust plans as necessary
  • Change support, Governance, Resource Allocation and Leadership responsibilities

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Postgraduate degree in Change Management, Human Resources Management, Business Management, Project Management, Technology, Communication and/or extensive relevant experience
  • Leadership track record of successfully managing multi-disciplinary and resilient teams supported by constructive supervision and performance development
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools and a solid understanding of how to support both individuals, leaders and the organisation through change
  • Sound project and time management skills and the ability to successfully cope with competing work pressures and deadlines
  • Highly developed stakeholder relationship management abilities
  • High level strategic and problem-solving skills and demonstrated flexibility and initiative
